Answer Me

By Liaf

Before you judge us please, answer me these questions three:

First, If God promised Jacob (Israel) nations were to come from him, when was that ever fulfilled? God promised that to him in Genesis 35:11:

And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins.

Secondly, when did tribes of Israel ever become nations? Genesis 48:19 says:

And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he [Manasseh] also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother [Ephraim] shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.

Thirdly, where is that future PLACE promised to Israel in II Samuel 7:10?

Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel.

Recently, I looked in some common Bible commentaries for an answer. I picked four random sources (although even more yield the same result). The first was a very detailed book from a gentleman who answers Bible questions. The second was a common Bible handbook. The third was the Scofield study Bible and the forth was the Ecumenical study Bible. NOT A ONE answers these vital questions and ALL remain MYSTERIOUSLY SILENT on these verses. They do not comment on them. Could it be that they DO NOT KNOW what they mean? YET, these same folks will make us LOOK STUPID as if we believe groundless and mindless legends (never mind that tons of research went into the way we believe--- it's not from some whim or mistaken interpretation). If you listen to whatever feeble and flimsy explanation they have on these verses, any objective source will claim it sounds TWICE AS STUPID as our supposed stupid answers. They would rather you go from just sounding dumb to just plain dumber!

And don't give me boloney that the church fulfilled this promise in its entirety spiritually. The patriarchs did not understand it that way (they expected physical children and nations) and besides, "nations" is not descriptive of the church. The church is composed of people FROM MANY NATIONS but in and of itself is NOT MANY NATIONS. The church is like our country's motto: "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (out of many, one) but the promise is OUT OF ONE COMES MANY. The Jew (which they believe is ALL of Israel to the contradiction of history) never fulfilled this. In the end times God will make Israel ONE again (E PLURIBUS UNUM) in the land of Israel (Ezekiel 37). In the meantime, if God is true to His Word, there MUST BE NATIONS FROM ISRAEL existing somewhere.

We teach on this site that Ephraim was fulfilled in the British Commonwealth of nations and Manasseh was fulfilled in the United States of America. Since both were from the birthright tribe of Joseph, both would experience tremendous blessings. These nations promised to Jacob were the means God would use to bless the world both materially and spiritually.

I challenge anybody to answer these questions in any other manner. If what we teach is not true, then what is your explanation? Click on the "Home" link below and then on one of our pictures on the home page to e-mail us with your better explanation if there is any. Otherwise, I would seriously stop judging us and consider what we say as the truth. After all, these are part of the critical covenantal promises to the patriarchs foundational to Christianity. Mess this up, and I doubt if one can get the rest straight.
