I want to switch gears a little and tell our readers about the vacation to New Hampshire we returned from just recently. One of the reasons my family and I went up there was to stop by and see some historical sites relating to our past president Franklin Pierce (see the Bible download link on our home page). Everything I learned about them was pretty much as I had imagined and I already did a tribute to Jane, which I believe was an accurate representation (although there are some differences in opinion). But, had it not been for ol' Franklin and Jane beckoning me to come by my fascination of them, I would have never heard about America's Stonehenge, a large array of monoliths, dolmens and other rock formations located in Salem, New Hampshire on a hill. And since this site deals with lost tribes, the throne of David, the pyramid, and so forth, I found this place to be every bit relevant to the topics presented at this site. Yet, what I want to present has a more relaxed, vacationing tone to it. I want to share some pictures of it below.
This is one of the typical caves amongst other rock formations and monoliths (marking astronomical events). There is much speculation as to who built these things--- so in spite of what each stone monument is called by the overseers and scholars of this place; nobody really knows for sure who is behind all this. But I have my theories.
This place is not just monoliths with a Stonehenge-like calendar. Seemingly, these stone structures served other purposes regarding community living. This place is a rather large complex of complicated stone structures as one can see.
Here I am taking notes and marking the GPS coordinates of the site so that I can survey out the area. My conclusions (based on the accuracy of the GPS) are that these ancients knew what they were doing--- they definitely had a good sense of direction! By the way, the Latitude/Longitude of this place is N42.84213 W71.20973 (decimal notation). You can go to a site such as mapquest.com and put those coordinates in to find out exactly where this place is located. If you decide to enter those numbers, use a NEGATIVE 71.20973 or else you'll end up with a map from the other side of the world!
Here is another typical cave "room" in the complex you can actually go thru and come out another side! It's neat to meander thru these things!
In the middle of the complex, there is an elevated gazebo-like structure built that shows the central vantage point of the ancients where they looked towards various monoliths to watch the motions of the sun and moon. This was their calendar.
Several hundred feet out in various directions you can see monoliths (like a site on a gun) that was used for sunrise/sunset, equinox, solstice sightings, etc.
Here's a better monolith. Notice how today we keep the trees cut down (a swath thru the woods) so that the sun or moon can shine thru. So there you have it---- sample pictures of "America's Stonehenge".
Who were behind these structures? As stated, nobody knows, but I answered somebody as to who I believed built them. One of my theories is that these stones may be the result of the "Hebrew-Phoenician" peoples, the progenitors of the Hebrew race. One example that comes to mind is a rock located at Las Lunas, New Mexico. That rock is dated about 1000 BC timeframe with the Decalogue inscribed on it--- it was early Hebrew scrip that resembled Phoenician writing (and some Greek influence as well). This date is during the timeframe of King Solomon's Empire. However, "America's Stonehenge" antedated this rock by 3000 years. But we need not worry about that--- even before Solomon, the character EBER in Genesis 10 (from whence we get the word "Hebrew"), the ancestor of Abraham and associated people spread abroad and colonized. Now this timeframe is after the FLOOD, and some people believe the Flood took place as recently as 3000+ years ago. But nobody really knows for certain. That explains the verse in Genesis 10:25 that said, And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided. They were surveying the Earth, and being "divided" means they understood the concept of latitude, longitude, and orientation--- including astronomical concepts as various peoples claimed land regions for themselves. Then, there is the other Scripture (Jeremiah 31:21): Set thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway, even the way which thou wentest: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities. It has been suggested that the "waymarks" are such monuments found in a line going to and from where these people colonized. In other words, "America's Stonehenge" may be the forerunner of the other monuments that later generations of the Israelites migrated--- that includes the monuments and people of the United States, Britain, and various places in Europe. We have not done any messages about Stonehenge itself (largely due to the fact we recognize the complexity of that subject), although this seems to be one of many stone calendars left behind from the forerunners of the Israelites and there even seems to be a relationship with Stonehenge and the Great Pyramid. One other thing. We did a message back in 2002 (on Liaf's messages for 2002) about the "Line of Israel". Well, you may have guessed it. America's Stonehenge, Britain's Stonehenge, and another array of monoliths in what was Northern Israel in the territory of Dan (the seafarers) all line up on virtually the same line! However, we must consider there are many monoliths spread about. In and of itself proves nothing, but I find that interesting that these most notable ones line up. You decide who built these things and why.
