A Day of Dread
By Liaf
This past week was both a sad and trying one for many of us. It was even more devastating for those who know that they lost loved ones in the ill-fated airplanes or buildings that were destroyed. Emotions run high. People are sickened and most want revenge. Many scurry around trying to make sense of these tragedies. Well, what are we to make of two airplanes that are deliberately crashed into the World Trade Center and one into the Pentagon? Not to mention the other plane that went down when very, very brave passengers decided to overtake the terrorists instead of allowing more people on the ground to die.
First of all, lets put this whole thing into perspective. "What? What do you mean Liaf? Thousands die and we should stand back and just analyze the situation?" Yes. That is what I mean. Im not saying we cant kick the **bleap** out of those at fault later on. However, lets take enough of a breather from our emotionalism to gain a sense of position and direction before aimlessly going after somebody or instituting excessive security measures, (which only shows that the terrorists won in a sense).
The first point is we should always be ready to meet the Lord today. The Bible does not guarantee that any one of us will make it through the day. There could just as easily been a devastating earthquake in New York City. Dont tell me that thousands do not die in heavily populated areas that experience earthquakes. As for the planes, many crashes are from mechanical failure or pilot error. You knowingly take that risk each time you board. Grant it, maybe not four planes in one day, but this did not happen before either. I remember in the mid-eighties at least 5 major airline disasters or fires that killed hundreds of people in one year alone. How is one made ready? The Bible clearly says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." That is found in Acts 16:31. How presumptuous it is of any of us to think that we are guaranteed to make it through the day. "Come on, Liaf. Are you saying we should tolerate this because there are other ways to die?" No! No! A thousand times no! I am saying we could die today. This is not the same as saying that we should die. We seem to think that if this deliberate act were prevented, that there would be more people with us today. Oh? How do you know?
That brings me to the second point. God is in control. Whether we suffer from a punishment, a trial, or for our correction, we must understand that God allows these things to happen. Had this not happened, whose to say that God would not have allowed an earthquake next week instead? In a similar manner, whose to say that God isnt going to avert an earthquake because of what happened? We think we know what it is all about, dont we?
The third point I want to make is that we now know a little how the nation of Israel feels when this happens constantly. Whether it is a terrorists missile or a wayward 767, both do an equal amount of destruction. Grant it, our target was bigger with lots more people. However, they could have missed (indeed one did miss) their intended targets and yet we would have felt threatened had much fewer people perished. Now how many missiles, car bombs and the like has Israel dealt with? You see, we got a little soft over here. It takes a tragedy like this to muster people with a common sense of purpose and bravery. I am touched by the vast amounts of young men and women who want to join the military by this incident.
Lastly, this brings about an important point that this entire web site is based on. All you Bible teachers, preachers or whatever out there better get telling the people who we really are. We are some of the Lost Tribes of Israel. Why do you think that we are so hated? Why does the United States, Britain (and associated European countries) and Israel stick together? This is another one of those many subtle hints that I constantly mention in my various messages. So is this attack a surprise? Not really. I did not expect this specific incident to happen, but I am not surprised by the event. Why dont you quote Isaiah 54 to some of the quivering folks who believe that this nation may be taken over by the enemy? The Bible says, "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou [Israel] shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." This is addressed to Israel in her exiled but regrouped and blessed state. Again it says in Isaiah 41, "Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff." And again in Deuteronomy it says of Ephraim and Manasseh, "His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push [Hebrew means to gore, and figuratively means to war] the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh." Hey folks, these promises are pre-millennial because once Christ returns to set up his Millennial Kingdom, there will be NO NEED for Israel to push people to the ends of the Earth because the enemies will already have been weeded out in the "sheep and goat" judgement. As more people are born during the millennium, they will not rebel until afterwards according to the Bible and even at that, fire from heaven (not Israel) will destroy them. Therefore these promises are BEFORE the coming Tribulation and millennium. When did this happen with the Jew? It may be argued that the Jew will become strong in the future yet before the Millennium. However, due to the characteristics of the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh and the "2520" year prophecy, we already dealt with this issue. We saw from the evidence that Britain and the United States fits the bill well. Besides, the tribe of Judah (the Jew) was never promised this. Even the Jews recognize they are not all the twelve tribes, and they realize they are certainly NOT Ephraim or Manasseh. Dont you think these verses are a comfort for those who are seeking answers? Doesnt this bring about a wonderful sense of assurance that we will not fail? Why dont all of you who teach the Bible tell this to the fearful crowds? Maybe you do not know this yourselves. Well then, read over this entire web site and get enough truth and understanding so that you can be a comfort to others. I tell you, we shall not fail until the "time of Jacobs trouble" which will not come until the Tribulation. Even then, that is the seven-year period of our national correction. Jesus will save Israel in the end, otherwise the prophecies of Ezekiel 37 could not come to pass. How can there be so many bones if there were not many Israelites?
I do not believe this terrible ordeal necessarily signifies the time of the end is near (although it could be approaching). Like I said, Israel has been enduring this for years. On the contrary, the Tribulation will start off with Antichrist coming on the scene peacefully. He will be the supposed answer to the worlds problems. After that, wars then follow and terrible tribulation happens. I would expect the Tribulation to start when issues get so out of control that a "god-send" deliverer would solve these problems. I do not think we are quite at that point yet.
Do you all feel that I have put some things into perspective now? Do you see how much God watches over us? Can you appreciate the great promises that God gave to us in spite of the circumstances? Good. I hope you do. Now that we got this perspective . You all are allowed to go after them now and kick some @$$.
