What Family Tree Did You Fall From?

By Liaf

Actually, this is not a message with hidden spiritual significance such as Adam's race vs. Christ's race. It does have to do with genealogy. Before I elaborate, let me tell you what I've been doing lately. I have been going over our site here at www.eternalthroneofdavid.com. Basically, it is a site about the lost tribes of Israel including a complex theology about Israel, the throne of David, esoteric subjects such as the pyramid, stars and UFO's, and a conglomerate of Old Testament Bible teaching (such as feast days and the tabernacle) that foreshadow the events of Christ. This site also ends with a detailed interpretation of end-time prophecy. These are all big orders to fill! And when we first started this site a little over 4 years ago as of the time of this message, we started with doctrines relating to the lost tribes and David's throne before we spread on to other topics. Indeed, if one does an Internet search, we are most likely to be found by the word's "throne of David" or "David's throne". After reading over our own site quite a bit, I noticed something--- we had very insightful biblical teachings a few short years back, but we came around 360° and the most recent topics lately was more about lost tribes and David's throne, the very same topics we started off with.

So this brings me to three points that come to mind that creates the crux of this message (and each point I will further break down a little more):

  1. The importance of one's genealogy
  2. The importance of the birthright associated with it (and thus the reason for this site), and
  3. Mainline evangelistic "impediments" to points #1 and #2.

First, item #1. We have an elderly gentleman at our church who traces his family's genealogy. He is well loved by all of us, and he sees us all as a family. He traced his lineage back to royalty, so the Pharez-Judah and Zarah-Judah lineages are no mystery or surprise to him. He always told me to trace my own family genealogy. And until the last two years (even after this site was started), I did not see the dire importance at that time doing that for my own family. However, I saw the need for the Davidic lineage relating to David's eternal throne. After all, God made a perpetual covenant with King David for ALL generations, so that would require the genealogy to be traced.

Well, he was right. I traced my family tree and I am still doing this. If you do the same, at the very least, you will probably find somebody important in your pedigree several generations back that made an impact on history. I know BOTH my wife and I had famous ancestors. If that is not amazing enough, I found we are probably distantly related. If one sees something in their ancestors, it will shed light on their background and tendencies.

Although I only briefly mentioned heraldry in a few messages, tracing one's family lineage will result in the discovery of heraldic symbols, many of which can be related to certain tribes of Israel. So, not only the specific ancestors are important, but also the tribal affiliation is important to know. Why is that? The reason simply is because the Bible made predictions concerning each tribe, and stated the characteristics of them. This is a biblical example of using that insight to fulfill the adage "KNOW THYSELF".

This rings a sour note with those who do not trace their roots. They cannot see the need to trace a "fleshy" lineage and to them they cannot relate the earthly purpose with the eternal purpose. These people act as waifs that quote (out of context) such scripture as I Timothy 1:4 to cover their ignorance. And mainline preachers (who probably know their own genealogies) have no problems with some of their galley slave followers being ignorant of their roots while parroting such verses lest they find out they may have royal blood in them. Or, to put it another way, as long as they "stay in their place" and try to get others to follow suit. Consequently, by being so ignorant of genealogy, is it any wonder that if I make a statement as "Jews are in the Israelite's family tree but not in their pedigree", it makes no sense to them? That's why they confuse Israelites with Jews. Even agnostics are subject to this ignorance. They come across in their psuedo-scholarly attitude and "prove" the Bible is wrong by the so-called contradictory genealogies of Jesus in Matthew and Luke. The problem is they do not understand genealogy. I can make an identical (in manner) genealogy of my son and me and state two different sets of names, and yet they are correct.

For reasons of clarification, I will state the 3 main types of genealogical study one can do--- in actuality, it may be a combination of all three:

PEDIGREE: This is where one traces only their parents, grandparents, etc. This is the type I am doing for my family, and it is the most common type. It starts from the individual and looks back in time, thus branching out with double the parents for each generation. Although this looks contrary to common sense, one must realize that these parents had other children; so MANY MANY other people can claim the same people as their parents as well. When one has a parent in common with another, it is referred to as a common ancestor. In the first generation, these are merely siblings, but in each successive generation they are cousins. The advantage of a pedigree is that one knows all the surnames they originated from. When one finds a common surname, then a connection may be made to another individual. That brings us to the next type of genealogical study called the,

FAMILY TREE: This is the reverse of the pedigree. This picks some historical couple and traces all their descendents from their end down to more recent times. In other words, one picks a set of parents and lists all their sons and daughters. Then each sons' and daughters' spouses are added and each of their kids are recorded. All these descendents are the seed of the original couple (as the Bible would call it). This includes everybody and many surnames that joined the original family thru marriage. Needless to say, this genealogy gets very out-of-control and is usually only practical for a few generations. However, when the daughters marry off and change their names, she now belongs to another family lineage and tree and gets traced from there. That brings up the third type called the,

SURNAME: This is a family tree that only traces the male lineage (and thus, the name). These children are both the SEED of the original parents and the NAME as well because of their surname. This relates to the TRIBE in Israel followed in the male lineage. In addition, a person can be someone's SEED, but not necessarily their SURNAME (or, TRIBE). This is because the daughters married and their names were changed, and therefore their offspring now joins another surname family tree.

By these explanations, one can see that both Jews and Israelites have Jacob as a common ancestor and he is in BOTH their pedigrees. However, the Jews are one lineage and the Israelites another-- they are cousins, and thus not in each other's pedigree. A medical condition known to Jews will not necessarily affect Israelites. But this goes over the heads of our Bible-quoting waifs who will vehemently argue otherwise.

OK--- now that we discussed one's genealogy, and how that biblically relates to an individual, we are ready to discuss Item #2, the importance of the birthright. This takes things to the national perspective. When one thinks about it, nations are basically BIG families, especially many with the same surname origins. For example, the ancient nation of Israel collectively came from the twelve sons of Jacob. You can think of each tribe as having a separate surname of their father. As generations progressed and new noteworthy descendants came along, their offshoots were know by their father's name of the tribe of ____ , etc. etc. This way, significant branches of the family tree were identified and remembered with their own surname.

When I traced my heraldry back to even a few short generations ago, much of the heraldry was significant of the tribe of Ephraim (or, Joseph). I am confident that many people's heraldry in this nation either goes back to Joseph (either Ephraim or Manasseh), or Judah. This is why we teach what we do. If indeed the people of this nation are mainly from the tribe of Joseph, this explains our power, great wealth, and prosperity compared to the rest of the world. The Bible assures it.

In addition, we want the rest of the people of this nation to know this. Why? Because the Bible has BIG things promised for the people of Israel. They were not only to become great, populous, powerful, and rich BUT also to become a light to the rest of the world. If people know this, then they will understand they are not here by a fortunate fluke of luck. They have a purpose. They do not have to worry ultimately about their national enemies because God will watch over them. Their fortune and destiny is written in the stars so-to-speak. I don't know about you, but doesn't that want you to jump for joy and enthusiastically spread the gospel? And we can go to bed tonight knowing that God will watch over our substance as well (even if we lost our jobs) because we have the birthright. We'll find a way, thru Him, to carry on. That, my friend, is the primary purpose of this site--- to bring this realization and to equip people for this service.

Now for the last item #3. Ah yes, those impediments. Those preachers that rather scrap the first two items and keep people in the dark while warning them of hell if they so much as glance at a crooked and perverse site as this. Ironically, many are the "prosperity preachers". I want to further break down item #3. This is what their message says or implies:

  • We may be successful, but not too much so. Don't let it go to your head and,
  • We all need to look up to someone, to be mentored under a "Godly" leader. If you carefully note, both statements put a restraint or limit on the individual and their family. Of course nobody actually stated these verbatim. They are implied understanding by virtue of how they teach. The first item is strongly believed by these leaders. This is why they vehemently and vociferously oppose the teaching of the "Mormonish cult" of the birthright (sometimes to the point of threatening violence). The idea that some people are destined to greatness, maybe even their own families becoming more nations (!) severely threatens them. Rather, their idea is if God decides to bless you and your family, you have to be good stewards of what you have. Then, remember that you are otherwise a worthless peon that God decided to bless so you better not get too overly proud of what you became or what you have.

Actually, I agree with them on these points, that we should be good stewards and constantly thank God for what we have. But if you are perceptive, the starting premise as to why is different. Their premise assumes that God, out of the blue, just decided to bless them and thus when hard times come, the person has NO ASSURANCE that God now loves them or is with them any longer--- a big INDIAN GIVER GOD (sorry, my native American friends. That's just an expression that when you think about it, it degrades the settlers actually). What about our premise here at this site? It starts with the assumption that God already blessed us and is evidenced by our greatness. Not that God cannot take things away, but that is not the inherent intent. When we go thru hard times, we know we will bounce back as we were in the beginning such as Job, or such as Jacob who thought he lost his son Joseph YET God destined Joseph to greatness in spite of the circumstances. Or to put it biblically, the preachers would say to you, "Oh, you had Joseph, but now he's gone? Sorry. Forget about Joseph. YOU can WORK thru God to another goal." We say, "You had Joseph, but now he's gone? Well, God has promises to keep to you, so Joseph has to be somewhere to fulfill them!" Now, those starting premises are quite different! In case you haven't noticed this yet, with the preachers' perspective, this puts a humbling cap on a person's pride. That is why the part "Don't let it go to your head" was mentioned.

The other bulleted point pertains to wanting control. These preachers may say, "What a nice, young couple you are. God will richly bless you as you start your family, especially if you learn from us the practice of successful living." Again, the premise is that the couple may make it, but nobody knows why this fluke of luck occurred--- it must be because they decided to follow God and listen to His Godly leader (whoever that turns out to be). Some even have a nice budget list to follow every month assuring that they are taking care of God's resources and nothing will slip thru the cracks. In case you haven't noticed it, such a premise puts a subconscious suggestion of dependency onto the couple and they have NO CLUE as to the real reason God blessed them (not to mention it places more glory onto the ministry that "helps" them out). In addition, as with bulleted point #1, it sets the stage for them to limit themselves. It would NEVER occur to them that maybe God wants them to have several homes and lands (like many family nations) because of the birthright. Instead, the prosperity preachers may actually puts brakes on them saying that they are getting too flamboyant with God's resources and are becoming too materialistic. (But it's OK for some preachers to have several homes, summer resorts, cars, boats and a Lear Jet to fly them to their church every Sunday.)

We here at this site will say on the other hand, that God blesses us because of the birthright, and there is not necessarily a limit to what God has in store for you (nor should you feel guilty if you reach it). In addition, you don't have to answer to anyone else, take prosperity courses or read success books, or even to have a mentor. Throw away your "Prayer of Jabez" books (and by the way, the author recanted of his crooked doctrine anyway). Such leaders have no clue such as the difference between Jews and Israelites or the birthright and the scepter. And they not only are ignorant of the differences, but they despise those (as heretics) those who do know and teach the differences. Why would you want to follow such clueless people?

So there you have it--- 1. Become aware of your personal roots and how you fit in with the people of the Book. 2. Realize that this great nation did not happen by chance and God's blessings to each and every one of us (and that includes ALL people of every origin that lives here). This should excite you with praise and confidence that everything will turn out all right, and 3. Do not listen to the preachers that would tell you otherwise. They despise the birthright like that profane Esau and SUBSTITUTE it with their cheap-shot prosperity theology.
