Why I No Longer Participate On Christian Forums

I want to avoid any contention there. Even though I am polite, there are some that like to push buttons and I call them for "what" they are (nicely, of course). People make their minds up when they enter the forums; make no mistake about it. I know because I am the same way! Those I hoped to reach were those on the fence to make them think and to invite them by here. Also, it was another way to publicize we were here. However, as of the date of this writing (May 1, 2005) we had over 20,000 hits over the past 4 years--- not exceptional but still the size of a medium town. If each one of them would tell a few people about what we teach (not necessarily visiting the site), then we could reach up to 6-digits in population by now, even if indirectly. Therefore, I see no further need to use a forum medium to reiterate the same thing and then waste time dealing with petty replies and sarcasm on subjects I already explained but they refuse to see (and their explanation of which sounds far more ridiculous to an objective reader than my explanation).

As you all know, or should know by now, we teach that there were both physical and spiritual aspects to the promises to Abraham. There were to be physical people to become many nations, populous, prosperous and powerful thereby becoming a blessing to the world. In addition, there was an actual physical descendent who would become the Christ, and the Head of these people. This by extension paralleled the spiritual world as being universally available physical blessings, spiritual salvation in the new birth and the spiritual headship in Christ for a life in the world to come in which this prosperous life is a "type".

You'd be surprised how many people want to "praise God" and then when a person as myself points out even more promises of Abraham both to his seed and in Christ, these same promises are scorned and I am dealt with as a heretic that is twisting scripture. For example, I oftentimes hear about Christians who are struggling with lack of money or poor health. I quote Biblical promises to encourage them and my personal experience as a testimony to praise God and I am looked upon as boasting in what I have or in my fortunate position instead. Sometimes I am just ignored while they camp out with other complainers who say, "I know what you mean" and offer sympathy instead. Sorry. That's NOT faith. They then turn around and called me things like "evil", "misleading others", (I like this one) "sadly misguided in your thoughts", and so forth. They would rather I repent and become like them, scrappy, worthless strugglers that complain and worry about their future. They don't want to be freed by the scriptural promises. It seems they want to be in bondage and drag everyone down to their miserable level and become like them as well. Well, "have at it", and an eternity in a hot place as well! Who in their right mind would want to "repent" and become like them?

So you see, I may have reached a few out there, and I thank the limited compliments we received over the years. We ask that you pass on the good word for us. As for me, "I'm outta there." Maybe my only sin and fault in all this was coming personally to people that do not want to win when I told them some positive promises in the Bible. So, why bother? Instead, I could be spending more valuable time on this site creating more messages. Many of them think I will end up in hell. I'm TELLING them now, they better get back on track and dump this delusion that going with the religious masses is "safe". They are on a wide path to hell. I'm going to tell them the same thing their evangelists have been cramming down the throats of the masses for years--- "Don't wait until it's too late. Behold, now is the accepted day of salvation!" They need to take their own medicine, repent, and become truly born again!
