The Difference between Judah (the Jews)

And Israel (the Lost House of Israel)

By Liaf

I want to do a basic message here that distinguishes the difference between Judah (or the Jews) and the Israelites (namely the ten-tribes of the house of Israel lost to history). Actually, if you read all the messages on this web site, they were already pointed out at various times, but not in a nice, easy bundle in one message. I perceive that people still need to know the prophetic difference so that they do not apply the prophecies of Israel to the Jews. As I stated before, to do so makes the Bible full of inconsistencies --- in one instance, God’s people seem to be suffering and in exile. In another instance glorious prophecies describe them. Most prophecy preachers seemingly rectify these discrepancies by making them applicable to different times, i.e., the glorious prophecies to Israel happen in the millennium. Needless to say, some of these glorious prophecies cannot and do not have a millennial setting. For example, when nations were promised to come from Israel, that cannot take place in the millennium since in that Kingdom Israel will be ONE nation again (Ezekiel 37). Besides, a company of nations implies a form of exile from one specific place and colonization in other locations. It implies a sort of separateness from each other (even if on friendly terms). In order to be many nations, one must live in many places. Make sense? But in the millennium, Israel will be returned to her land again and they will be ONE people (not separate). And there are other examples as well. However, to push these promises off into the future does not work. Therefore (as I said before), I want you to get out of the Israel= Jew mindset. I also want you to get out of the idea that the Jews are solely the chosen race of God if by that you mean the birthright. You often hear people say, “They better not do anything to the Jews--- they are God’s chosen people.” As a matter of fact, if you are talking about the birthright, the Jews are no more the chosen race than Ishmael or Esau in previous generations. However, if you are talking about the right to rule and promises of inheritance to all the children of Israel, then they have their place. That makes them “something in-between” with their vital function. I am not trying to minimize them. After all, Jesus said, “Salvation is of the Jews.” In other words, grace came from Judah (the tribe of our Lord). But race (i.e. the earthly blessings as a chosen race) belongs to the tribe of Joseph--- not the Jew (Judah)! And we teach here that this race would be the one to spread the gospel message (originating from the grace tribe) to all people of the Earth. That’s a 180-degree turn from what the church teaches that the gospel was committed to non-Israelite Gentiles. Poppycock! However, we also pointed out (as I will again soon) that Israel lost her identity. They became Gentiles, as they were divorced from the Lord only to set the stage for many of them to be re-covenanted in Christ when he came. Even though they were blind to their identity, they would eventually fulfill their appointed destiny of becoming a multitude of nations (or fullness of the Gentiles) so that “in this manner” all Israel would be saved--- both them with the gospel message and ultimately when the two sticks would be rejoined in the end times as Ezekiel 37 teaches (see Romans 11:25-26).

RED LINE shows the chosen RACE line. Notice which tribe the red line ends up in. An evangelist would have you believe the red line goes into Judah (the Jews). No, it goes to Joseph. In a sense, the other eleven brothers (tribes) are hanging off the side just like Abraham’s or Isaac’s other sons. As Paul said, “They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the [national] children of God: but the children of the promise [especially the red-lined ones] are counted for the seed.” Isaac was God’s chosen line and so forth. In a certain sense, the eleven other tribes are no better off than Ishmael or Esau as I have already said if by that you are talking about the birthright promises. However, other tribes did have some promises, responsibilities or characteristics about them and collectively, they all will enjoy the final blessing as ONE people of the RACE (indeed, I believe they already hang out with each other to enjoy Joseph’s blessings. How do we know? Well, one example is in Ezekiel that states in the end-times all the tribes will be given land inheritance, so they must all be together as ONE PEOPLE and enjoy the blessings together. “Why is there this ‘in-between’ state as you suggest--- why is one tribe so special but the others get only a little something more than Ishmael or Esau?” you may be asking me. Up to the time of Jacob (or Israel) the blessings were ONE, but on his deathbed he split them, namely into the scepter/birthright branches but included all his sons (tribes) in his prophecies. What I am trying to get out of your heads is that the Jews are all twelve tribes. They are not. They have their place and special purpose, but not all of the blessings are on them alone. That’s what I am trying to convey to you.

We see by this chart that from Abraham the promises of the birthright went to Isaac, then Jacob (Israel) and to his son JOSEPH (not the Jew)

OK--- so here’s the message (the former was introduction). I want to quote from a chapter from the book “Great Pyramid Proof of God” by George R. Riffert. In my pyramid message I said it was an “oldie but goodie” book and you can order it from www.amazon.com if you are interested. (By the way, this gentleman lived in Easton, Pa--- I live only several miles from the city in the Southern rural area--- maybe his “spirit” came on me to make me take such an interest? Just kidding--- it’s not Halloween yet :-))

One of his chapters is entitled, “The Great Pyramid and the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel”. Without going into great detail, he made that connection (as I have shown in my messages) between the Pyramid (its measure), Israel and Britain. One of the sections of this chapter was a beautiful summary of the differences between Judah and Israel so that the reader can properly discern prophecy and not apply it all to the Jew alone the way it is so often erroneously done.

First of all, Israel was to be unknown in name (that is to say they would lose their national identity). Judah (the Jews) were to be known and a reproach amongst the nations. Isaiah 62:2 says, “And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.” When were the Jews ever called something else? And this cannot be in the millennium, either. Hosea chapter one says the same thing when Israel will be called “not my people” but in the place of their exile they would then be called “sons of the living God”. Hosea then goes on to say that after that time Israel and Judah would be reunited and the end will then come as they are gathered to their land again. There are other examples I have in other messages, but you get the idea. On the other hand, Judah was to be a reproach and a “proverb” amongst the nations (Jeremiah 24:9; Ezekiel 22:4).

Secondly, Israel was to become mighty, whereas Judah was to be without might. I already had messages out declaring Biblical prophecy that Israel would possess the gates of their enemies. In addition, Ephraim and Manasseh (both from Joseph) would push their enemies to the ends of the Earth according to Deuteronomy 33:17. During the time of our terrorist attacks, I also pointed out prophecies about Israel’s might such as Isaiah 54. There are many similar examples. Judah on the other hand was to fall before their enemies (Jeremiah 19:7). This passage in Jeremiah 19 was about the broken vessel that I had a message about earlier. Brokenness implies unusable and fragile. Even history attests to this fact. The Jews were persecuted and hated virtually everywhere they went (because they were known) and they had little strength. Indeed, I was surprised to find even a little historical reprieve where some Jews enjoyed rest for a season (God is indeed gracious) but for the most part they were in a sorry state. Even with the modern state of Israel today, although God strengthened Judah (Zechariah 10:6), the new nation is not a blessing, but a headache for all involved with the turmoil. By the way, that strengthening has end-time application. Notice it was in the context of the Kings of Judah and mentioned the house of Joseph and the eventual joining of the two houses again as foreshadowed in Ezekiel 37. (See also Zechariah 12 that has similar end-time application--- but that chapter indicates that Jerusalem will be a headache for all involved as well.)

Thirdly, Israel was to wander for a while (during the “seven times” punishment) but eventually find an island home in the west (from whence they could colonize). Judah, on the other hand, was to be strangers in all lands (not have another land of their own, but feel like an ‘outsider’). Again, I know I did a message about Israel heading westward and upon Ephraim’s return they would come from that direction. What I had in mind was Hosea 11:10, Isaiah 49:1,12,19-20. In addition, Isaiah 49 speaks of Israel in the isles and their need to colonize when the space they lived in got too tight (that in itself indicated a population explosion). However, Jews were to be strangers everywhere without any geographical inheritance of their own (Jeremiah 24:9; Ezekiel 22:16).

Fourthly, Israel was to have a perpetual monarchy. Judah was to be without government especially from a Davidic King. This whole site is devoted to proving the perpetual nature of the Davidic throne. In addition, this site has shown Biblical evidence that the Davidic throne was transferred from the house of Judah to the house of Israel. Historically, after Israel split into two kingdoms, we remembered that the Davidic Kings reigned over Judah while Israel had their own (non-Davidic) kings. Later on, because of Judah’s sin (in spite of the example God made out of Israel), God said that the monarchy would be “overturned” three times. The first overturn went from Judah to the Lost Tribes in the Isles where some Israelites already resided and a greater mass of Israelites migrated to later on. As Jeremiah 33:17 says, “For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of IsraelGod never said that the Davidic Kings must always reign over certain tribes all the time. Rather, he said to David that his throne would endure forever (over some portion of Israel or Judah at least). However, as Jeremiah prophesied here through the Word of the Lord, the indication was that a Davidic King would reign over the house of Israel (instead of Judah) once the fall of Judah came about. Judah on the other hand was to be without government (Jeremiah 17:4). Indeed, when the Jews returned from their exile, there was no Davidic King in the traditional sense. Zerubbabel (of the royal lineage) was a leader of the exiles, but the returned exiles were always under the watchful eye of surrounding enemies and the overseeing by empires. It was not until the recent passage of end-time events that the Jews have been delivered and granted power to claim the land of Israel for their home. Even so, I already mentioned the discord and headaches this has brought about (because Israel is not there with the Jews yet, at least not a larger portion of their population). However, God is paving the way for that “man-made” return we dealt with in the end-times prophecy series, and ultimately the entire return of Israel (Ezekiel 37) at the Second Coming of Christ. Otherwise, the scattered Jews have never congregated in masse to form another colony, not even one, that they could call their own country and government until their return to the Holy Land in the end times. Instead, they were usually not welcomed inhabitants of other nations (and obviously they have a hard time being accepted in their own home land).

Lastly, Israel was to be “as the sand of the sea” before the time of the end according to Hosea (and other prophecies). Judah was to be few in number (Jeremiah 15:7). Again, this is just a reiteration on the part of the prophet as to what we already know. God promised the birthright tribe of Joseph to become populous, as we have already compared Israel to a marred, but workable vessel. God was going to do something with those people. But Judah did not have the birthright, and as such was never promised as a tribe to become enormous in population. The straw that broke the camel’s back was when Judah knowingly sinned before the Lord after the Lord made an example of Israel over a hundred years earlier in her captivity. Therefore, Judah was worse off than Israel and as such became as that broken vessel.

These are the more obvious differences, as pointed out in Riffert’s book, between Judah and Israel. There are other differences, but I wanted you to get a feel for these so-called contradictions throughout the Bible. When we study God’s Word in context of the Lost Tribes, the seemingly contradictory prophecies no longer seem irreconcilable. Indeed, I do not see how we can even understand or believe the Scriptures by taking the traditional approach. Thomas Paine lost his faith because he believed God did not keep His promises to the Jew. He misunderstood the Bible because the teachers of his day equated Israel with the Jew. And today teachers likewise fill the average Christian’s head with mushy inconsistencies by saying Israel is only the Jews. When somebody intelligent (like Paine) comes along and questions the so-called inconsistencies, the answer they receive basically boils down to “God has his ways” and “you should believe with your heart and not your head” (implying they are on a slippery road to hell if they don’t park their brains soon). You know what I think? The “thinkers” will not be taken for a ride by just anybody. Guess who I think will be the first “heart believers” to bow to Antichrist in the end? What goes around comes around. The same condemners will be very surprised where they will wake up in eternity--- the crowd is not always right.
