Sacred Measure (Part 1)
By Liaf
I hope our chaotic world has calmed down enough for me to get started on the subject of sacred measure. In this particular message, the subject I want to address is the "pyramid inch" and the "sacred cubit" (25 pyramid inches as coined by Sir Isaac Newton). "What does this have to do with Jesus?" some Jesus only person may retort. Directly, I would say very little; at least if you are only interested in basic doctrine and converting the heathen. I would not suggest teaching this to a convert-to-be or a newborn babe in Christ. But I assume my readers are here because they are beyond that stage. If one wants to be a "Jesus only" person that is fine by me. I say, "God bless and dont waste intellectual time here." On the other hand, I find that Scripture has much to say about numbers and to a lesser degree about measurement. God did not put them there to fill in space. In addition, this topic of the sacred cubit and the pyramid inch is another one (of the vast amounts) of those connections that Egypt, Israel and Britain have in common. The common denominator is Israel. And Israel was Gods chosen people here on this Earth for the Kingdom. Finally, when we talk about the Kingdom, we are dealing with end-times and the ultimate purpose of God. "So whats so important about establishing a connection?" someone else may critically ask. Ill let those who ask this figure that one out. In a nutshell, shall we say that the more evidence we gather to show that the intricately woven fabric of Gods hand is in all of history, the more it grounds our faith? It only shows that nothing happened by chance and that God was faithful to watch over all of us to bring about His purpose. Maybe some people dont need that. Being a thinker, I like some logical reassurance once in awhile. People think that praising God is joyous and emotional worship and song. Man, Ill tell you. You never saw praise like a person who reasons everything out and discovers Gods hand in everything! It is more exhilarating than solving a detective mystery. Some may feel that ol Liaf here reasons too much and that God does not want his "intellectual" assessment of something. Rather, God wants Liafs faith. He does, but I really believe God loves my praise when I understand something to the point where it causes a "praise reaction". Its not praise from emotion alone as most understand praise. Its praise that results from both understanding and emotion. I want all my readers to understand two things (if nothing else in this message): 1) Do not assume that a person who reasons things out and wants to understand something intellectually is void of faith or emotion (as in emotional coldness). Thats an ignorant misconception. I probably have much more faith and warmth (coupled with praise) than most Christians. 2) Do not assume that because some people do not need reasoning for their faith that no Christian should need it. If one believes this, then one might as well hang their brains with their hats when they enter a church (while wondering why some people are critical of Christianity). I dont know about you, but the simplistic things of our faith is OK for starters, but I want to move on --- I cant keep reliving an emotional conversion or baby spiritual talk all my life and remain interested. That would be stagnation.
Before we start on the subject of sacred measure, let me say something about the stars. I am good in finding "snow-balling" connections. I believe that Gods Word is in the stars by virtue of their names. The stellar story parallels (and does not add to) the Bible story. Psalm 19 attests to that. Some Christian groups came to believe this (perhaps reluctantly) after much study forced them to see the truth in that. However, their faith stops at the revelation of the stars (while discounting other revelations). I must caution that if one wants to believe that there are messages in the stars, that they must accept the prophetic testimony of the Great Pyramid. The pyramid is replete with numbers and angles that are stellar related. By virtue of these dimensions, the same theme emerges as the story told in the stars and the Bible. No serious scholar of the pyramid denies this. Even those who do not believe in the prophetic aspect admit that it was polar aligned when alpha Draconis once shown down its shaft. In addition, the pyramid (as I will show) has the unit of measurement called the "pyramid inch". This pyramid inch is related to the cubit used by the Hebrews and is very close to the British inch (thus is where the name was derived). Again this shows a definite connect to these three societies. This connection touches on the subject of the Lost Tribes. You see what happened? We had starsà pyramidà Lost Tribes. The three go together like the shell, albumen and yoke of an egg. You cannot accept one and not the other. The "only way out" is to deny that there are any messages in the stars but that severely stretches the intended meaning of Psalm 19. In that case, one would not only be rejecting these three things, but coming very close to rejecting part of the Bible as well! Some may have trouble putting these three together. The answer is simple. God inspired the same people who named the stars to blueprint the pyramid. All this was done in accordance with Gods revelation. These same people retained their system of measurement. Thats not too far-fetched, is it?
Lets turn our attention to a chamber in the Great Pyramid that one encounters just before entering the so-called "Kings Chamber" where the "coffer" is located. This is the first room after the inclined grand gallery that ends at the "great step". One must duck their heads to climb through to this room and then duck again to end up at the "Kings chamber". Please click here to see an overall picture of the Great Pyramid if you need to get your bearings (use your browsers back button to return to this article). The antechamber is the little room at the top '1979' date on the chronograph. The reason that this chamber is so important is because if you inscribe a circle within it, it just so "happens" that the circumference is 365.242 pyramid inches --- the same number of days in a solar year. For this reason, some pyramidal Christians call this the "Enoch circle" (or "year circle") because this is the exact same amount of time he lived on the Earth. In addition, this is a proof, they believe, that the architect was really Enoch. With that being the case, this would make the pyramid antediluvian and hence pre-Egyptian.

A pyramid inch is about 1.001 of a British or American inch. I can sense my skeptics asking why we must "stretch" our inch to make a circle of 365.242 pyramid inches. In other words, they may be wondering if this circle was coincidentally a size that we could modify or redefine a measurement to create a result of 365.242. For example, suppose the circle was really 370.5 inches. If we divide 370.5/365.242 and obtain 1.014 inches we may call this measurement a pyramid inch since that number is still close to an inch. This is a fair question. Normally, I would be just as skeptical if that was the source of the pyramid inch. But it is not. There is a horseshoe shaped protrusion in that same chamber, called the boss (click on the word for a picture in the lower right of the calculations and then use your browsers back button to return), that measures 5.005 inches or five pyramid inches of 1.001 inches. Hence, this object has a similar ratio. Clearly, this object was meant to be a recorded standard of some sort. "Well," asks a skeptic, "What makes us want to divide that by five?" In and of itself, nothing. But when we do (if we may play this one out for a moment), we see that the pyramid inch has a special relation to the size of the Earth.
Geodesic measurements of the polar radius of the Earth show that the Earth has a radius of 3949.89 miles. Converting that to feet and then inches, we see that the Earths radius is very close to 250,000,000 actual inches. Guess what? 250,000,000 pyramid inches (when defined by the boss and the "Enoch Circle") is exactly the polar radius of the Earth (thus making the pyramid inch about 1.001 inches or a sacred cubit of 25 pyramid inches equal to 25.0265 inches). Undisputedly, the inscribed circles circumference (with a diameter that of the length of the antechamber), is exactly 365.242/250,000,000 of the polar diameter. For sure, we can take any circle and make it 365.242 units of some fraction of the polar radius. That is no miracle. What is a miracle is that this circle "so happens" to be 365.242 units of 1/250,000,000 of the polar radius. That fraction is a nice, even and rational division of the polar radius. I would not be impressed at all if it worked out to be 365.242 of a fraction like 1/243,679,000 of the polar radius. A skeptic may still ask, "What is so special about 1/250,000,000?" Plenty. The metric system uses the same idea. Sir Isaac Newton defined the "sacred cubit" as 25 pyramid inches (more on the sacred cubit soon). This same cubit will be shown later to relate well to the Biblical Ark of the Covenant and the temple objects (to be covered in another message). If the Earths polar radius is 250,000,000 pyramid inches, how many sacred cubits does that translate to? That translates to 10,000,000. In other words, a sacred cubit, when defined as such, is 1/10,000,000 the polar radius of the Earth. If that sounds strange, then consider the so-called definition of the meter. That unit of measure is 1/10,000,000 of a quadrant of the Earth along a predetermined meridian. In other words, the quarter circumference of the Earth. If this were the case, then the ratio of the meter to the sacred cubit would be PI/2 (3.14159/2). This would not be an exact ratio since the Earth is an oblate sphere, but it is a very close approximation. Dividing the meter by 100 yields a centimeter, and dividing the sacred cubit by 100 yields (very closely to) the quarter inch. These would have the same ratio as the meter to the sacred cubit. Since an inch is four times the quarter inch, the ratio becomes PI/8 for the centimeter to the inch or likewise 8/PI (8/3.14159) of the inch to the centimeter. Indeed, it is not very difficult for anybody to show mathematically the truth in the 8/PI ratio of the inch to the centimeter and indisputably shows the Earth-based system that English measure really is. The difference is that the English system uses the radius of the Earth whereas the metric system uses the circumference of the Earth. Actually, using the radius is more logical to me since there is only one radius, but there are many meridians (and arguments as to whose meridian to use). The question for the day is "How did they know this?" I wont answer that here, but it gives food for thought (and maybe the chills too). Simplistically, without going into alien theories, time warps and the like, I really believe this shows the divine dimension to this structure as God inspired the builders. Who else knows the measure of the Earth better than God? This makes me suspect that the metric system is the worldly counterpart to Gods system based on the radius of the Earth. It even uses the same ratios! Why would God use the radius of the Earth to define sacred measure? Later on, we will show the relations of these measurements to Biblical objects that are the Earthly types of what is in heaven. That makes every sense to me to use some ratio of the Earths dimensions!
If these two definitions of the pyramid inch are not adequate for the skeptic, let me show you two more things (although there are even more). First of all, if you take notice of the diagram of the antechamber above, you will see that a section of the floor of the chamber that is the darker granite forming the side on an imaginary square. This square has exactly the same area as the inscribed circle. We could just as easily work in reverse. We could calculate the area of the inscribed circle and then figure the side length of a square with equal area. The side length would be exactly the length of the granite section on the floor. This granite portion was measured to be exactly 5 Egyptian Royal cubits. Interestingly enough, this is an exact geometric relationship between a square and a circle whose circumference "just so happens" to be 365.242 units related to the established royal cubit. My memory fails me at the time of this writing, but I remember reading an article about a skeptic who went out to disprove this measurement stuff, but confirmed that the unit of measure that the pyramid was based on was the royal cubit. He ascertained the length of this cubit within one or two hundredths of an inch. If a sacred cubit is 25.0265 inches, the royal cubit calculates out to be 20.63 inches. I believe the skeptic confirmed a unit of measure to the effect of 20.62 inches. The point is that it is agreed across the board that the granite section is indeed 5 royal cubits and mathematical analysis of the circle and square shows that they physically have the same area --- that is my point. Click here if you are the mathematical type who wants the proof of the relationship between the sacred cubit and royal cubit.
The second and last thing I want to mention about the pyramid inch relates to the base and perimeter of the Great Pyramid itself. If you or I were to go to Egypt and look at the corners of the pyramid, we would see a bunch of irregular edges and some rubble that would be hard to discern where the true edge once was. The outer limestone casing was stripped off of the pyramid over the years leaving us with the coarse blocks that we see today. However, what lay people like us cannot discern, an architect can. The Great Pyramid was found to have corner socket joints (like a ball and socket joint design) to compensate for expansion and shifting. In addition, scribe lines can be found to indicate the original edge, or I should say the supposed intended edge. (I will teach more on the actual perimeter in a future message. There is a 286.1 pyramid inch rectification factor to be considered. This is the same number that various measures in the Great Pyramid contain.) What was the original perimeter of the pyramid supposed to be? Youve guessed it --- 36524.2 pyramid inches. This is one hundred times the circumference of the circle in the antechamber. Because a pyramid is a four-sided structure, this gives us one more interesting reason (in addition to the Earth-based measure) why the sacred cubit was divided into 25 parts to get the pyramid inch. If we divide the length of one side by 25 (to get sacred cubits), we find that the length is 365.242 sacred cubits. Thus the 365.242 solar year theme is found in both the perimeter and the base side of the pyramid.
In a future message, I will do some comparisons between the pyramid inch, the sacred cubit, and certain holy relics in the Tabernacle. This establishes an actual connection between pyramid measure, Earth-based measure, and Biblical measure.
