As our faithful readers have well known, we have done an extensive series on God's Word in the stars. I think you all know I have a little bit of a knack for mathematics, and lastly we did a message on the "line of Israel" whereby using spherical trigonometry I've shown that the British Isles as well as the United States are on that line to the Northwest of Israel as prophesied in Isaiah. I want you to hold those thoughts for a moment while I use the same "line" concept in reverse, i.e. from the United States back to Israel. Then we will make all of the concepts gel to an amazing fact I've discovered regarding the rising and setting of certain constellation in those directions. I'll let the reader decide as to whether or not there is significance to it, but I do know that the actual calculations are factual. While I will not use such a discovery to absolutely prove that we've found a location to the lost tribes, I do want to say that this is one of the many subtle so-called "coincidences" that make one take a second look. I've been mentioning all through our messages over the years that in addition to direct scriptural references to the lost tribes, that little facts like this pop up here and there that only fit the same nations, and nobody else. Call it a coincidence if one wants, but when so-called coincidences keep mounting up over and over again, then one can start to make a connection and reason that maybe it's no longer a coincidence. Still, there are those who will insist that we are making more from it than what's really there. It reminds me of a robber who is wearing certain clothes, drove a certain get-away car and took the money in a black briefcase. Then later down the road, the officers pull over a man wearing just the same clothes, driving the same car, and carrying a black briefcase full of cash. So, the man says to them, "It's just a coincidence that I am wearing the same type of clothes." Then when they question about the car, the man replies, "Lots of people drive cars such as mine." When asked about the black briefcase full of cash, the man replies, "I have a deep distrust of the credit system---- I do everything with cash and it's not illegal to carry this much cash in a briefcase."
You see what the skeptics are rationalizing? They are calling all our evidence for the location of lost Israel a "coincidence" or misinterpretation of information to suit our needs, just as the bank robber tried to talk his way out of his dilemma. What's the odds of someone wearing exactly the same clothes, driving the same car who believes in carrying their cash in a black briefcase just moments after a robber fitting those descriptions leave? Yet, the skeptics of the lost tribes would rather have you believe that there is no evidence that the guy pulled over was the robber, and that his explanations are perfectly normal and he is not the robber. Yeah, right. You're under arrest, and for certain the evidence will hold up in court. Such song and dancing around the evidence is simply denial and rationalization. Ironically, the ones who deny will make themselves sound like the smart ones and the likes of us as the dumb ones as if we believe groundless legends. Incredible.
Anyway, I digress slightly. I want to go back to the (bearing) line toward Israel from the United States. I live near the Philadelphia area, the region of the founding of this great nation. And one day, I had a hunch (or call it inspiration if you like), that a certain constellation, namely the one called Coma Berenices, may rise in the direction of Israel from this vantage point. Why such a suspicion? The reason was simply this. If we are the lost tribes, it would make stellar sense that God would place a constellation rising from our vantage point that would have us look back to Israel, and namely, to the Christ Child. The first thing I did was to calculate the bearing to Israel from our location. I have my own set of spherical trig calculations I discovered and calculated years ago that use complementary angles (i.e. 90-xº). This is because the declinations of stars are measured from the Equator instead of the pole. Likewise one's latitude is measured from the Equator instead of the angle from the pole like one does using spherical trigonometry. Consequently, my main formula, measuring the altitude of a star, is really a form of the spherical law of cosines, but the sines and cosines are reversed since sin (90-x) = cos (x). In addition, the formulas I created projects a point to an x, y, z coordinate system which means that the point's location has a mathematical sign assigned to it, and thus when we take an inverse of the trigonometric function, we know which angle to use (for example, the inverse sine of 0.5 can either be 30º or 150º, but if the cosine is positive for that point, we know to use 30º). My method, for this reason is extremely valuable for creating algorithms for computers to calculate this without the mess of regular spherical trig formula.
However, the skeptics would think my reasoning for calculating bearing is flawed, even if they have education themselves but fail to remember how to do a sine from cosine. It's always easy to find fault with someone without proving them wrong simply because ol' Liaf here is a peon and not some scholar like Sir Isaac Newton, so if my answers may sound wrong, then it must be me so their reasoning would go. Well, just to cover my bases, I calculated the bearings to Israel using regular spherical trig as well as my formulas and got the same bearings. So if anyone disagrees with me, I assure you it's not me, it's not the calculations, it's you. So just log off if anyone out there is that certain of their erroneous answers because I won't convince you, nor any other thick-head. Bask in your delusion if you so desire.
Sparing the details of the calculations (as I suspect my readers are dying to know the bearing to Israel), the bearing is N53.4ºE calculating from N40ºW75º which is plenty accurate since a constellation has a certain width to it. This means that the bearing to Israel is 53.4º right of north. (Last I saw, the location I'm calculating from was right in the middle of some sort of country club golf course near Philadelphia---LOL) This is generally Northeast (true northeast is 45º). So, I went to my star program and plugged in the date for July 1776 to see where Coma rose back then (when the lost tribe nation especially of Manasseh was born). Actually, the difference is not that great today since the precession of the equinoxes is very slow, but it would make sense to calculate back to a specific time in history like this one. Sure enough, the constellation Coma arose in the direction of Israel. So, to play the skeptic's advocate, I said to myself, "big deal". There must be other locations that experience this as well. Yes there are. As one goes further north, the constellation rises more in the north as it becomes closer to a circumpolar constellation. For Israel to be more northward in bearing, one has to go basically northwest of Philadelphia, I believe it was up into Canada somewhere. Likewise, if one goes more south, the constellation rises more eastward and Israel would have to be in that direction. Basically this location is southeast of Philadelphia out into the Atlantic ocean. So, for our readers out there, you can see I just made a "line" running basically from the northwest and southeast thru "Philly" (as we call the city in our parts) that satisfies the direction to Israel in the direction of this rising constellation. Now, hold that thought.

| The constellation Coma Berenices can be seen rising toward the direction of Israel in the Philadelphia area, the place where the Declaration of Independence was signed and Manasseh became separate. |
What about from Israel back to the United States? Is there any constellation in setting in the Northwest that satisfies similar criteria? Yes, there sure is. It is the constellation Andromeda, and it is in the opposite end of the zodiac being associated with Pisces (Coma is associated with Virgo). Now, hold those zodiac signs in your mind for awhile because we are going to be revisiting that as well. The bearing back to the United States is N46.3ºW almost perfectly Northwest as the prophet Isaiah stated. That is the direction that Andromeda sets. What does this line look like? It's basically the same bearing as the "line of Israel" we did a message about a few years back. It goes across the British Isles, down the eastern United States and over around the other side of the earth near Australia. This is the direction of the setting Andromeda.

Now, let's go back to the thought I told you to hold about that line through Philly. It runs basically perpendicular to the line from Israel also going through Philly. Do you see the significance? The two lines cross like an "X"! Only there is Coma rising and from Israel is Andromeda setting in those bearings. In other words, a place up in Canada will see Coma rising toward Israel, but from Israel's vantage point Andromeda does not set there. And the same can be said of the other locations.
Now, this brings up the other thought I told you to hold about the constellations and zodiac themselves. First off, they are opposites this made me suspect something I will state in a moment. Next of all, what do the constellations mean? Well, I already pointed out Coma being the infant constellation where Christ's star was supposedly in. That keeps us looking toward Israel, and to Christ. From Israel's end, the Northwest was associated with lost Israel according to Isaiah. Andromeda is the chained woman, a symbolism of captive Zion and Israel in her exile. This woman was later to be enthroned. In addition, she is associated with Pisces, a constellation associated with the nation of Israel.
This all makes sense. We, the lost tribes, look to Christ and Israel remembers the direction of lost and captive Israel that will one day be his bride. But then, I reasoned, if there is something to this, then there should be one constellation associated with Gemini and One with Sagittarius making all four points--- i.e. Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces and Gemini. Put on your seat belts, because there are!
The constellation Lyra, associated with Sagittarius, sets the same direction as Andromeda from Israel's vantage point, pointed toward the United States. So, along with the captive Zion who is exiled, we have Lyra, which speaks of Israel showing off the praise to God!
This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. (Isaiah 43:21)
And if I may add a side note here, the sign of Sagittarius is associated with an arrow, the same object in seal of the United States. While in exile, Israel is showing of the praise of God as they are a light to the nations. But Israel (those who are still spiritually lost) will one day be married to the Lord again, not to remain in this land (the appointed place II Samuel 7:10)
What about Gemini? Is there any constellation associated with Gemini that rises in the direction of Israel? Yes, there sure is! It's Gemini itself! Gemini rises the same direction as Coma Berenices toward Israel. We know that Gemini depicts the coming marriage between Israel and her new Husband, Christ. Some are "engaged" now being believers in Christ, but for the unbelievers who will go thru the Tribulation, they will, after intense persecution, be rejoined to the victorious Christ.
So, a skeptic may start to be thinking that there are other such constellations since so many appeared to be rising or setting. Actually, there are not many. There are three other large ones such as Hercules, but considering there are 88 constellations, I'm surprised at how few actually fit my criteria, and I was rather strict I believed. In addition, it was amazing that out of 88 constellations, the four of them that did make the bearing criteria "just so happened" to be quartered to one another. It's one thing to have any four (by coincidence), it's another to have four in those positions. Remember that I looked for constellations in those parts. Had I selected anywhere else, it would not have worked. The implication is that if I thought to look there, that there's a (divine) concept behind it since it could be reasoned out. And if we take the meanings into consideration, we can basically say thus:
The lost tribes are to look to Christ (Coma of Virgo), to whom they will be one day be married (Gemini). In the meantime, Israel looks toward the direction of the lost house of Israel (Andromeda of Pisces), while in the gospel age they sing the praises of the Lord and show His glory (Lyra of Sagittarius). The attached meanings even make sense. I don't think I could make something fit better if I tried and had the chance to pick my own constellations!
This discovery and work is in its infancy yet, but just to find such facts regarding the bearing between us is in itself astounding. I will continue to research any additional significance, or maybe find some other similar stellar alignments. Check in our "Star Series" every so often for updates.
