| Keeping the Sabbath |

I stated on our main index page to "click here" to keep the Sabbath from Friday sundown until Saturday sundown. There are no counters and no feedback to see who is clicking. This just simply took you to this page--- the Lord knows who clicked. This became a simple acknowledgment on your part that you want to keep Sabbath and agree that Saturday is the Sabbath. I have little theology here on this page. Just enjoy your rest, and remember that Sabbath is also the rest of faith. I will only state that I find NOWHERE in the Scripture that Sabbath was changed to Sunday. Sunday (as Sabbath ended and Sunday began) is the (annual) feast of Firstfruits that foreshadowed Christ's resurrection--- the first day of new life. This is the eighth day and eight represented a new start and new life (such as new heavens and new Earth). Seven weeks later on Sunday came the feast of Pentecost. However, a mere TWO feast days do not in themselves justify a reason to keep them weekly. These two feast days are similar to Passover, Unleavened Bread, Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles. They foreshadowed things to come. And for my friends out there who claim Christ rose late Saturday to justify keeping Sabbath, I need not remind them that the Sabbath does not need the resurrection to justify keeping it. (If a day began at sundown say 6:00, and I claim Christ rose 6:00 as Sunday started, would it make these folks who believe he rose late Saturday feel any better if I said he rose at 5:58 late Saturday? You see my point? I have no problem with either the time or the day--- no matter what, Sabbath is still the Sabbath.) Sabbath ("seven") is for now, the coming Kingdom, and the millennium. Sunday (both the first and eighth day) is for the age to come. Eight represents a new heaven and new Earth, which have not come yet. Sabbath will always be here--- don't let events foreshadowed on other days diminish the Sabbath.
